Our Physiotherapists have specialized training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, helping clients manage moments of incontinence, pelvic pain, and pregnancy related issues.
Our Physiotherapists teach in University settings with the Canadian Physiotherapists Association and spend time mentoring other Physiotherapists looking to advance their clinical skills so that they can become better clinicians to ultimately better serve their clientele.

Charles Lorusso,
PT, FCAMPT, MSc.PT, BA (Hon), Dip.AIM.PT

Charles graduated from McMaster University in 2005 with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy and has been practicing in the private orthopaedic sector since then.
In 2013, Charles completed the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).
He continues to advance his learning through the completion of an Evidence-Based Practice program at the University of Toronto, as well as post-graduate courses in regional joint disorders, acupuncture, bracing, and orthotics.
Charles is an instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, where he teaches Physiotherapists who are working towards their Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT) certification.
Tanya Tsui-Lorusso,

Tanya graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy.
Having worked primarily in private rehabilitation clinical settings, Tanya has many years of experience treating a variety of both acute and chronic injuries and conditions.
She has developed advanced skills in manual and manipulative physiotherapy, which form the foundation of her assessment and treatment programs in order to provide effective management of pain and movement disorders.
In 2013, Tanya completed extensive, internationally recognized post-graduate education and attained her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).
She continues to pursue courses in a variety of areas, including acupuncture, orthotics, and bracing, as well as completing workshops at Stott Pilates. Tanya is also the Administrative Manager and frequently acts as a clinical supervisor and mentor for students studying Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, and Physiotherapy programs.
Nelly Faghani,

Nelly graduated from the University of Toronto in 1996. Nelly started to treat pelvic health in 1998 and continues to be actively involved in clinical practice, mentoring and teaching. She has helped develop Continence Programs that have been implemented in various long-term care facilities throughout Ontario.
Nelly has spoken at numerous grand rounds, symposiums, and conferences, including The Urology Update, Canadian Ambulatory Care Conference, Ontario Physiotherapy Association Interaction Conference, Southlake Hospital OBGYN Clinical day, Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist Annual Conference SOGC, Mount Sinai Mature Women’s Day and St. Michaels.
Nelly has been a spokesperson for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and has also co-authored a neuro-urology textbook chapter on incontinence. She regularly attends international conferences and prides herself on staying on top of the current pelvic health literature.
Nelly has a passion for treating this group of clients and plans to continue to help increase public awareness of various pelvic floor dysfunctions and their impact on quality of life.
Vanna Mach,

Vanna provides personalized care with compassion and enthusiasm. She is here to support your goals at any age, activity level, or stage of recovery. She has an undeniable love of sports and physical activity. As a previous competitive rhythmic gymnast, Vanna understood the importance of active and ongoing rehabilitation through physiotherapy and appropriate exercise prescription. Vanna received her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Waterloo, studying Kinesiology with further studies in Human Nutrition and Psychology. She continued her professional studies at the University of Toronto, receiving her Master of Science in Physical Therapy to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a Physiotherapist.
Vanna’s treatment integrates a hands-on or manual therapy approach with a very specific functional exercise prescription tailored to your individual needs. Vanna advocates for the physical and mental well-being of her patients by implementing a holistic, biopsychosocial approach to treating patients at various stages of their recovery process. Vanna keeps current with best practice guidelines and continued education to provide patients with the most optimal care. Vanna has received her Level 1 Certification in Manual Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Additionally, Vanna is Level 1 Pelvic Floor certified with a specialized focus on incontinence and prolapse. In her spare time, Vanna loves to keep active and enjoys hiking, cycling, tennis, yoga, running, weightlifting, and team sports such as hockey, volleyball, and basketball.
Sogand Hariri,

Sogand has a passion for helping patients restore their pelvic health through physiotherapy. She discovered her passion for pelvic health many years ago after discovering how physiotherapy can help patients restore their pelvic health through continuing education courses.
Sogand graduated from Shahid Beheshti University in Iran with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She also completed the Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at A.T. Still University in Arizona.
Sogand is a Physiotherapist with specific training in the management and treatment of incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapses, constipation and the pregnant and postpartum pelvis. She also has experience treating acute injuries from sporting and motor vehicle accidents, chronic musculoskeletal impairment, and post-surgical conditions.
Her motivation is to help patients improve their quality of life and regain their feeling of independence through physiotherapy management.
Barbara Szczerba,

Barbara is a passionate Registered Physiotherapist with over 18 years of experience as a Registered Physiotherapist.
In 2013 Barbara started completing post graduate courses in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, in which she has found a special place in her heart. She has completed many courses since then through Pelvic Health solutions, a company dedicated to educating Physiotherapists and other healthcare practitioners about pelvic health.
Barbara specializes in the management and treatment of incontinence for women, sexual pain, chronic pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse. Barbara has also received extensive training in prenatal and post-natal care, preparation for labour and birth, post-surgical and post menopausal conditions.
Barbara also has experience fitting pessaries and training with the hypopressive technique.
Barbara balances her professional life with her Physiotherapist husband and two kids. She loves dogs and breeds them as a side passion. In addition, she leads a very active lifestyle and is an avid runner. She finds running extremely therapeutic for the body, mind and soul.
Jessica Otoo-Appiah,

Jessica is driven to empower and help you achieve your goals. Her objective is to provide you with solutions and strategies to help you move better so you can be more confident in your daily activities.
Jessica works with you to create a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses your specific needs. Her intervention approach incorporates the latest evidence and encompasses therapeutic approaches such as manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, Kinesiotaping, functional therapeutic exercise, and education.
Jessica received her Honour’s Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at McMaster University where she also developed an interest in rehabilitation. Her volunteer experience with chronic diseased individuals motivated her to pursue a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
When not dedicating time to clients, Jessica enjoys hiking, cycling, and experimenting with new food recipes.
Teresa Raso,
PT, MSc PT, BSc.
Teresa enjoys working with complex cases in all areas of physiotherapy practice including patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardio-respiratory, post-surgical, and athletic conditions. Teresa has also worked with geriatric and pediatric populations on a volunteer basis.
Teresa graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy Professional degree from Queen’s University and prior to this completed her Kinesiology and Health Science degree at York University, graduating with academic excellence while working part-time as a patient care assistant at The Physiotherapy Professionals.
Upon graduation, Teresa completed post-graduate training in Rebound Therapy and is now a Certified Rebound Therapy Practitioner. Currently, Teresa continues post-professional education through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association’s Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program, developing her hands on and clinical reasoning skills.
Daniela Rapallo,

Daniela is a Registered Massage Therapist, licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario since July 2004.
She attended Elmcrest College, where she completed her Massage Therapy Diploma in Swedish massage. Daniela has gained experience with pre and post-natal massage, infant massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Thai massage, sports therapy, muscle injury recovery, and other soft tissue injuries.
Her passion is Sports Therapy, which focuses on muscle injury, tightness, muscular imbalances, and fascial restrictions of the body. She also enjoys working with children and helping them recover from their injuries as well as aiding them through growing pains and decreasing stress levels caused by many factors of life.
Daniela enjoys helping people by educating her clients with home care exercises to help them recover and maintain a well-balanced lifestyle.
Johnny Gallo,

In 2002, Johnny graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology and then completed his massage training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2005. Johnny has been a Registered Massage Therapist licensed with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario since July 2005.
He has continued his professional development by completing courses in massage cupping, deep tissue massage and myofascial release.
Johnny has special interest in trigger point therapy, sports injuries, and deep tissue massage for chronic conditions.

Lori’s previous experience of working in the fitness and massage industries has allowed her to realize the importance of customer service. After practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist for 15 years in various multi-disciplinary clinics, Lori decided to combine her experience in health care and customer service to work behind the scenes and help develop an experienced and knowledgeable front desk team.
Out of the office, Lori enjoys an active lifestyle at the gym, long walks by the lake with her puppy Stella as well as spending time with family and friends.

She loves science and is currently enrolled in a health science degree at York University to pursue a career in health care. Taylor is inspired to work alongside likeminded and driven professionals and joined The Physiotherapy Professionals because as a previous patient, she recognized the determination and passion the Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists and administrative staff had for helping their patients.
Outside of the clinic, Taylor enjoys time with her family and friends, baking, and summers at the cottage.

Sofia is thrilled to be part of an incredible team and environment where the well-being of others is the top priority. Her goal is to help you bounce back and feel like yourself again. As a multisport athlete, Sofia empathizes with people who sustain physical injuries, and the importance of having a professional to support you through the recovery process.
Sofia enjoys math and science and is enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
Outside of the clinic, Sofia enjoys jogging, reading, listening to a vast amount of music,
and hiking.
