Our Physiotherapists have specialized training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy helping clients manage moments of incontinence, pelvic pain and pregnancy related issues.

Our Physiotherapists teach in University settings, with the Canadian Physiotherapists Association and spend time mentoring other Physiotherapists looking to advance their clinical skills so that they can become better clinicians to ultimately better serve their clientele.

Charles Lorusso, MScPT, BA (Hon), FCAMPT

Charles graduated from McMaster University in 2005 with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy and has been practicing in the private orthopaedic sector since then.

In 2013, Charles completed the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).

He continues to advance his learning through the completion of an Evidence-Based Practice program at the University of Toronto, as well as post-graduate courses in regional joint disorders, acupuncture, bracing, and orthotics.

Charles is an instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association where he teaches Physiotherapists who are working towards their Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (CAMPT) certification.

Tanya Tsui-Lorusso, MScPT, BKin (hon), FCAMPT

Tanya graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology, and a Master of Science in Physiotherapy.

Having worked primarily in private rehabilitation clinical settings, Tanya has many years of experience treating a variety of both acute and chronic injuries and conditions.

She has developed advanced skills in manual and manipulative physiotherapy, which forms the foundation of her assessment and treatment programs in order to provide effective management of pain and movement disorders.

In 2013, Tanya has completed extensive, internationally recognized post-graduate education and has attained her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).

She continues to pursue courses in a variety of areas, including acupuncture, orthotics, and bracing, as well as completing workshops at Stott Pilates. Tanya is also the Administrative Manager and frequently acts as clinical supervisor and mentor for students studying in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, and Physiotherapy programs.

Nelly Faghani, BScPT, MCPA

  • Specializing in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Nelly graduated from the University of Toronto in 1996. Nelly started to treat pelvic health in 1998 and continues to be actively involved in clinical practice, mentoring and teaching. She has helped develop Continence Programs that have been implemented in various long-term care facilities through Ontario.

Nelly has spoken at numerous grand rounds, symposiums and conferences including The Urology Update, Canadian Ambulatory Care Conference, Ontario Physiotherapy Association Interaction Conference, Southlake Hospital OBGYN Clinical day, Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist Annual Conference SOGC, Mount Sinai Mature Women’s Day and St. Michaels.

Nelly has been a spokesperson for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and has also co-authored a neuro-ugology textbook chapter on incontinence. She regularly attends international conferences and prides herself on staying on top of the current pelvic health literature.

Nelly has a passion treating this group of clients and plans to continue to help increase public awareness of various pelvic floor dysfunctions and their impact on quality of life.

Adam Keeping, MScPT, BScN, RN

Adam graduated from University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy.

He completed post-graduate courses in Manual Physiotherapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is currently working towards completing his Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. He has also completed postgraduate courses in taping/bracing, acupuncture, and advanced exercise.

Prior to Physiotherapy, Adam graduated with honours from York University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As an experienced Registered Nurse, Adam has experience in general surgery/medicine, mental health, cardiovascular, neurology, pediatrics, and geriatrics; and has performed consultation services for diabetes, wound care, and exercise tolerance for those with cardiovascular diseases. He worked as at Toronto Western Hospital on the Neurovascular unit for 4 years and has since obtained his NIHSS, TOR-BSST, and Level 1 Coronary Care certificates.

Adam has experience treating a diverse group of clients with various age and fitness levels, including treating motor-vehicle accident and worker-related cases. He utilizes a combination of education, manual therapy, specific strength training, acupuncture and other pain modalities in treating all conditions and injuries.

He believes this comprehensive, client specific approach, will best help his clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Kathy Ng, BHS, PT, MCPA

Kathy Ng is a Registered Physiotherapist in Canada with a special interest in Pelvic Health Rehabilitation and is also a certified Pilates instructor.

Kathy completed extensive training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, attended workshops relating to pelvic health and pre-post partum managements, and also had taken advance post-graduate courses in manual therapy and acupuncture.

Kathy has worked in various orthopaedics setting but focuses her practice in pelvic health since 2007 after the birth of her daughter and received Pelvic Health Physiotherapy herself. She started to work in Pelvic health in response to her desire to help others maintain their active lifestyles while finding solutions to their pelvic health challenges.

Kate McCormick, BScPT, MCPA

Kate McCormick graduated from the University of Toronto and worked in orthopaedics and sports injuries for much of her career. She has completed many post-graduate courses in manual therapy, pain management and acupuncture.

Kate’s passion for women’s health has become her primary focus. She has completed extensive training through Pelvic Health Solutions and treats both women and men for many pelvic health conditions. Kate uses a holistic treatment strategy recognizing that each person is different and requires a unique approach that addresses all aspects of their lifestyle.

Alexandra Di Florio, MScPT, BSc (Spec. Hons.)

Alexandra graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Masters of Science of Physiotherapy where she completed comprehensive courses in regional anatomy and musculoskeletal studies. She attended York University where she completed her undergraduate studies to gain a Specialized Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences prior to completing her post graduate education abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Alexandra has worked with diverse patient groups within Scotland’s National Health Service and in Canada within private physiotherapy clinics. Alexandra has experience working with clients with various soft tissue injuries including strains and sprains as well as post-operative rehabilitation of patients with total knee and hip replacements, fractures, ACL reconstruction, meniscectomies and Achilles’ tendon ruptures. Alexandra has a passion for learning and has successfully challenged the Level I exam offered through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She now is continuing though the Orthopaedic Division post graduate curriculum to further develop her skills in manual therapy with the goal of gaining a Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Alexandra enjoys working with patients of all ages from the elderly to young athletes and believes in using a client centred approach integrating education; manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription to help all of her clients achieve their treatment goals.

Daniel Armena, MScPT, BSc (Honours)

Daniel graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to finishing his Masters degree, Dan attended McMaster University and obtained his Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Life Science. During his university tenure, Dan served as a student physiotherapy assistant and a member of the strength and conditioning team in the Varsity Athletic Centre serving athletes. His passion to pursue a career in physiotherapy was born there.

Dan has experience working with clients of all ages and functional abilities. He focuses on helping you whether its a new or old recurring pain problem. Dan relies on the latest research, his hands on skills, exercise and his wealth of experience to help you solve or mange your problem. Dan actively pursues life-long learning and has completed courses in soft tissue release, concussion management as well as acupuncture. He is currently pursuing a Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy through intensive specialized manual therapy courses, which will advance his skills to becoming one of the top 10% Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists in Canada.

To keep himself in shape, Dan enjoys playing basketball, running and cycling.

Johnny Gallo, RMT

In 2002, Johnny graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Kinesiology and then completed his massage training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2005.

Johnny has been a Registered Massage Therapist licensed with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario since July 2005. He has continued his professional development by completing courses in massage cupping, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and hot stone therapy. Johnny has special interest in trigger point therapy, myofascial release, sports injuries, and deep tissue massage for chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

Johnny truly believes that regular massage therapy is a vital component to one’s overall well-being. Massage therapy complements the body and mind by releasing tension, stress, tightness and hence corrects negative postural changes, shortens recuperation time, and helps maintain a healthy active lifestyle.

Daniela Rapallo, RMT

Daniela is a Registered Massage Therapist, licensed with the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario since July 2004.

She attended Elmcrest College where she completed her Massage Therapy Diploma in Swedish massage. Daniela has gained experience with pre and post-natal massage, infant massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Thai massage, sports therapy, muscle injury recovery and other soft tissue injuries.

Her passion is Sports Therapy, which focuses on muscle injury, tightness, muscular imbalances and fascial restrictions of the body. She also enjoys working with children and helping them recover from their injuries as well as aiding them through growing pains and decreasing stress levels that are caused by many factors of life.

Daniela enjoys helping people by educating her clients with home care exercises in order to help them recover and maintain a well-balanced lifestyle.
